The Role of Your Battery

Your battery plays an important role in the function of your vehicle. It’s responsible for getting the engine started, along with the starter and alternator. Another way to check the life of your battery is with a voltmeter. This tool is more precise in measuring battery life. The voltmeter will test your battery and let you know how much life is left.

Sometimes, you can have issues with the battery that doesn’t require replacement. The most common problem is corrosion around the cables and connections. Sometimes, the connections are loose, which makes it difficult to get a spark. Other times, the problem isn’t with the battery but with the alternator, starter, or another component. Because they are all dependent upon each other, the vehicle won’t start when one of the parts fails.
